What the NDIS Changes Mean for Your Support Team: Making Confident Choices in 2025
From July 1, 2025, significant updates to NDIS pricing and provider registration are in effect. But beyond the headlines, what do these changes really mean for you — the participant, the family member, or the support coordinator?

This moment is more than policy change — it’s a chance to take stock of your current support team and make sure they’re still the right fit.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
✅ Are your providers registered (and do they need to be)?
Not all providers are impacted, but if you receive services like Support Coordination or SIL, your provider must now be registered. This is your opportunity to double-check — and ask questions.
🤝 Does your support team still meet your needs?
Are they responsive? Do they listen? Are they proactive in helping you meet your goals? These questions matter now more than ever. The NDIS update is a great time to re-evaluate what good support looks like for you.
🔍 Do you feel informed?
A great provider won’t just “tick the box” — they’ll take time to explain what’s changing and guide you through what to do next.
Tips for moving forward:
-
Ask your providers directly how these changes affect your plan.
-
Review your service agreements.
-
If needed, explore new providers who are already registered (like DisabilityCo, proudly registered since 2018).
-
Most importantly, don’t rush. Take the time to feel confident in your decisions.
